a Snapjaw!! these nasty insects litter the Wheatgrass Plains of the Dragon Isles, making their home beneath the soil and only coming up to grab a bite to eat. using their shovel-like claws, they burrow at super speed, able to travel miles in minutes! their teeth may look tiny, but they’re actually quite concealed; they can extend them to frightening lengths to snatch prey from within their burrows! Snapjaws only ever poke half their body out into the open when surfacing—people don’t really know what they look like below the soil.
the Snapjaws are led by King Trapjaw, a massive Snapjaw with golden fangs and a nasty attitude! they rule the Wheatgrass Plains, and Angry Dragon has a problem with that when he’s gotta go straight through on his quest to take back his island. will the big red guy be able to take down the leader of the Snapjaws?? probably

as the caterpillar inside matures, it hides in an impregnable fortress of a cocoon, and not only is it incredibly strong and resistant to impact, but it’s also unimaginably heavy, so it’s able to do major damage by falling down on things. these creatures nest in factories and foundries, and as the adults emerge from their cocoons the discarded shells have been known to break the machinery they may have built them over.
i drew a Rock/Dark oni pokemon that isn’t me but oh well
the idea is that it is part rock and part evil i guess, the blue-grey bits on its arms are hardened skin and it uses its arms as makeshift cudgels
its hair is intensely coarse and causes serious irritation much like fiberglass
it mostly lives in caves though sometimes it comes out of hiding to hunt for prey since it’s carnivorous
its signature move is Cudgel Arm which is a Rock-type move that inflicts recoil damage, and it can learn Head Smash through the move relearner
